Helping burnt-out teachers relight their fire for life
I'm Rachel
I was in the classroom for 5.5 years before taking the leap into Virtual Assistance. Now, I’m sharing my story + helping others make the transition themselves.
If you ask Allie, she’ll tell you that teaching was all she ever wanted to do.
Like so many of us, she was so eager than ever to start her journey as a teacher and finally get started in the classroom.
She graduated a semester early, subbed on her days off from class, and read just about every book she could find on teaching.
Because she only ever dreamed of becoming a teacher, she had every intention of entering the classroom and staying for 30+ years.
But, like so many of us, she quickly experienced the unexpected realities of teaching.
Harsh enough to dim even the light of even the most excited of teachers.
But she didn’t go into this field totally naive.
Sure, she knew the job would be hard.
Sure, she knew she’d rack up hundreds of unpaid hours.
Sure, she knew that tough behavior was part of the job.
But what she didn’t expect to see so quickly was just how broken the education system was. And beyond that, she could never have imagined how challenging it would make her job.
In 2023, Allie made the tough choice to leave her dream job and start over.
Allie didn’t hastily jump into any career after she left the classroom.
She took some time to explore what she wanted to do next. While she was in the classroom, she began building a successful TikTok and was able to monetize it, which led her to believe that maybe, social media could be a part of her next step.
For over a year, Allie had gone back and forth about enrolling in Educator’s Exit, but by September 2024, she was officially ready to dive in.
The following month, she launched her new business: Allie the VA. Within a week, Allie landed her very first client.
Building on Her Momentum
From there, she continued to harness her skillset and build on her momentum. Instead of just applying the strategies in the course, she RAN with them.
Allie took all of her knowledge from Educator’s Exit and made herself discoverable by building a brand that’s fully authentic to her and stands out from others.
Sure, there are hundreds of thousands of VAs, but there’s only one Allie.
Her infectious personality and love of social media made for an easy transition into Virtual Assistance.
As the face of her brand, Allie shares value, insights, and stories while building trust with her audience, which is why many of her followers have turned into clients.
On her page, she keeps up with trends, puts herself out there, and always tries new things. And guess what?
Businesses noticed. And trusted her to do the same for them.
Allie’s To Do List
With social media at the forefront of what she does for clients, her to-do list is brimming with tasks she absolutely loves. Here’s a look at some of her services:
Creating monthly content calendars
Analytics and data reports
Market research
Capturing and creating content
Email marketing
General admin tasks
Sure, her day-to-day looks wildly different from what it used to. But the creativity she always had that made her such an incredible teacher? It’s still there, and stronger than ever.
